Virtuoso QA FAQs

What’s an execution?
An execution is one run or one journey. The best way to think of a journey is a series of features being tested in an end-to-end flow. In this way, Virtuoso transforms your tests from feature-based testing to end-to-end, user-based testing. Compared to coded frameworks, Virtuoso journeys are at least 10 times longer. So if you currently have 1000 feature-based tests that you run twice a week, this would equate to 100 journeys, run 8 times a month = 800 executions.
You’re hosted on AWS - so you can’t test behind our firewall?
We can! We have a Bridge client to run on your network to create a secure TLS encrypted tunnel to pass the traffic to Virtuoso.
What types of testing can we do with Virtuoso?
Functional, end-to-end, UI, regression, integration, visual, and exploratory testing.
Does Virtuoso only test front-end websites?
Virtuoso can be used to test any browser-based application, including front-end websites, but also backend systems such as SAP S/4hana, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and many more!
Is it difficult to learn?
No! Virtuoso is really intuitive to use for any user. Together with our onboarding team, documentation, and videos, you will be writing automated tests on day one, if not minute one.
Can I test APIs?
Yes! You can even test APIs within your functional journeys or perform a series of service level tests, passing inputs between API calls.
