How to use Ideamap?

To use Ideamap effectively, follow these steps:

  1. Creating a New Workspace: Click on "Create new workspace" from the workspace selector, then choose between a "Team workspace" or a "Personal workspace" to begin your brainstorming session.

  2. Leaving a Workspace: To exit a workspace, click on "Settings & members" or "My account" in the sidebar, access the "Settings" tab under the "Workspace" section, scroll down to the "Danger zone," and click on "Leave workspace."

  3. Adding Longer Ideas: Edit your idea, add two new lines, and anything you write after these lines will be hidden from the idea card. You can format the text, add links, titles, and more. Hover over the description icon on the idea card to view the full idea.

  4. Anonymous Idea Authors: Currently, Ideamap doesn't support anonymous idea authors during idea submission. However, you can have anonymous idea authors during voting by selecting the "Anonymous idea authors" option when starting a new voting session.

How do I create a new workspace?
To create a new workspace, you first need to click on the 'Create new workspace' from the workspace selector. In the next step, you will need to choose what type of workspace you want to create; you can choose between a 'Team workspace' and a 'Personal workspace'.
How do I leave a workspace?
To leave a workspace, click on the 'Settings & members' or 'My account' button in the sidebar. From here, open the 'Settings' tab under the 'Workspace' section, scroll down to the 'Danger zone' and click on the 'Leave workspace' button.
How can I add longer ideas?
To add longer ideas, edit your idea and add 2 new lines. Everything you write after the 2 new lines will be hidden from the idea card. The text supports markdown so you can add links, titles, bold text, etc. To see the full idea, hover over the description icon on the idea card.
Can idea authors be anonymous?
Right now, Ideamap does not support anonymous idea authors when people submit ideas. However, anonymous idea authors can be enabled for voting sessions. To activate this, click on the 'Anonymous idea authors' option when starting a new voting session.
